Terms of service
Last updated 29 October 2026.
1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and PlaneLogs for your use of PlaneLogs (the "Service") during its private beta. By creating an account you accept them. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. Before the beta ends we will replace these terms with full terms and tell you before they take effect; you can close your account rather than accept them.
2. The beta
The Service is free during the beta. It is unfinished: features may change or be withdrawn, and the Service may be interrupted, without notice. We will give at least 30 days' notice before introducing charges, and nothing will be charged unless you choose a paid plan.
3. Your records remain your responsibility
The Service is a record-keeping tool. It does not determine airworthiness, and it is not a substitute for the records, signatures or approvals required by CASA, or by the aviation authority of the country your aircraft is registered in. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for retaining any records you are legally required to keep. Keep your own copy of those records rather than relying on the Service alone.
4. Using the Service
Keep your credentials secure, and use an account of your own rather than sharing one. Do not enter records you know to be false, access aircraft or records you have not been granted, or attempt to breach or disrupt the Service. Access you grant to others is yours to review and revoke.
5. Your data
You keep ownership of what you enter. We host, process and back it up only to run the Service for you, and handle personal information as the privacy policy describes. You can ask us for a copy of your records at any time.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided as is, without warranties, including any warranty that it will meet a regulatory requirement that applies to you. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to AUD 100.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the Australian Consumer Law permits, our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the Service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
7. Ending
You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We can end the beta, or your access to it, at any time. Unless you have breached these terms, we will give you notice and at least 30 days to get a copy of your records.
8. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Questions about them: [email protected].
